Premier Care Walk in Tub Prices

How much are Premier Care Walk in Bathtubs?

It's quite frustrating when all you want to do is get a price, and every person you speak to tells you that they MUST come out to get measurements to give an accurate price.

After calling 3 out of the 4 most recognizable walk in bathtub companies, I realized that there was a trend... Everyone wanted to send a consultant out to speak with us.  My biggest pet peeve is a high pressure salesperson sitting in my home trying to tell me what to do.  However, I didn't see anyway around it.

The sales person came out...

Upon arrival, the salesperson seemed quite professional and I accidentally let the guard down a little bit.  There were times during his visit that I felt pretty pressured, however he did point out all of the valid reasons why it made sense for us to move forward with getting one.

We sat down and spoke for nearly ten minutes before he finally made his way to the bathroom.  Once there, he pointed out some of the potential problems that we may face with larger walk in bathtubs.  Luckily, Premier Care has a smaller tub that was able to fit perfectly without any adjustments to the door.

The "Pitch"

After he finished measuring the bathroom (I left him alone), he made his way back out to the kitchen table.  At this point, he started asking lots of questions, some of which were a little intrusive or embarrassing, but pertained directly to the product.

The "Close"

I'm not going to lie, the premier walk in tub definitely seems like a great fit for my wife and I.  However, I didn't like their pricing model.  It's not that the price of the tub was too high, as I'd already had another company out and they were nearly the same.  It was simply that I felt like I had zero time to think about making a decision.

My wife and I always sleep on it before making any rash decisions.  This was only our second company out, and we still had another appointment two days later with a different company.  I simply wasn't ready to pull the trigger without comparing all options available.  However, if I didn't make my decision right then, it was going to cost more to wait.

Final Result

After getting rather frustrated and upset about the urge to make a decision right then, my wife and I politely showed the man to the door.

We've now researched the main walk in tub companies, and have made our decision.  Based on the Premier Care in Bathing Reviews that we'd found, and the price we were offered, we're going to call them back and try to strike up a deal over the phone.

Total Price

The Premier Walk in Tub Prices definitely aren't out of the realm of reason compared to similar tubs. Our total price was only $14,980, including installation.  It wasn't the least expensive, but it seemed to suit our needs.

  1. I really thankful to you for sharing such an informative post about walkin bath tub. If you are stuck with someone coming to your home from one of the other guys, there is something you should know. Prices for big-ticket items sold by sales representatives that come into your home are often arbitrary. The salesman has already set a price of what they think they can get out of you. They review the neighborhood, the homes and even the curtains to alter their price quote. Then to entice you – they do you a huge favor by taking some money off.

  2. Yeah, he's right - the sales consultant has the ability to lower the price of that tub - he just made a bigger commission by holding firm to his price. How do I know - I do this for a living.

  3. My parents are getting to the older ages. I am scared when they go to take a bath and they have had a few accidents. I think that I need to find walk in tubs in St Catharines for them. They will be so much safer.

    1. the advertisement on TV looks sooo comfy - BUT- I am sorry I ever bought the wal kin tub because you have to sit in there and wait till it is full (while you freeze) and then sit in there and wait till it empties out (and freeze even more). My husband has Parkinsons, so I thought this tub was a good idea, it is NOT, I should have bought a drive in shower, no step no lip, tub BIG mistake....

  4. Please, before you invest in this company go on line and read the NUMEROUS complaints where people have been in similar situations as mine. I unfortunately did not do this before I called them, otherwise I would never have contacted them. I have lost a $3000.00 downpayment. After the installer came to put the tub in we discovered that it would be too risky to take my current tub out. It would have to be drilled or jackhammered in order to remove it. After speaking to numerous supervisors, I was told that the job is do able and I was being unreasonable. I was breaking my contract. Be sure to read the contract before signing. My attorney says that there is nothing in my contract to support their claims. However, to pursue this legally, arbitration takes place in Florida. Due to health issues it would be impossible for me to do this.
If this information helps anyone, it is worth my writing it.

  5. I think Premier should have considered the circumstances and reimbursed you your down payment. The contractor they sent out possibly saw what the job entailed and decided that what Premier was paying him was not worth his time. Premier does not pay contractors well. I have talked with several installers that installed Premier's tubs at one time or another.
I own a walk in bath tub company in Texas, first of all we are a small company and returning the downpayment is worth way more than bad reviews to us. We are very customer service oriented Walk-In Tubs. If you know anyone that is interested in a great product, great warranty, give us a call for more information. Best Buy Walk In Tubs 817-326-3003

  6. Be VERY careful before entering into an agreement with Premier Care in Bathing. They took over 4 months to deliver a satisfactory product for my Grandparents. Without going into too much detail, by the time they had rectified the damage they made to the wall panels ( which they replaced in wrong colour), added the correct thermostatic tap (at the 2nd attempt) so that you could actually sit IN it while it ran, re-fitted it so that the door shut properly and also refitted (worse) bathroom flooring because they hadn't measured the footprint of the bath properly, unfortunately the intended recipient of the Premier Care was no longer with us. However, this did not stop them chasing for payment of £550 'completion' charge from the deceased despite several unlogged (at their end) conversations regarding the issues and the unfortunate circumstances. Premier Care....hmmmm

  7. My mother had a walk-in tub installed by Premier Care several years ago and has been nothing but thrilled with it. I have used it several times myself and the tub is wonderful. I no longer worry about my mother taking baths and showers and the whirlpool feature has been so helpful for her arthritis. We have nothing but good things to say about Premier tubs, and are so glad that we dealt with them!

  14. We purchased the Premier bath after her motorcycle accident; she was t-boned by a drunk driver. It was installed in November of 2014. We were told our hot water tank was big enough to handle the needs of the tub. That turned out to be not true. Premier did try to solve that problem. Since November of 2014, we not have the caulk wearing out, the faucet is starting to show signs of leaking and now we are told warranty is no longer on our unit. For 15 grand, it still should be.
We live in North East Ohio. Our sales guy was named “ Smitty”. We were told our hot water tank would be big enough, it was not. We were told about a warranty that did not exist. If you live in North East Ohio, do not buy a Premier tub!!. It is way overpriced. Also, the sales guy is dishonest.
Thankfully, she is recovering well from the accident. The tub is ok but not worth 15 grand. It was a big mistake on our part.

  17. I found many tubs on Craigslist. May elderly only use for a few months or years and then don't need any more. I bought a premier walk in in exc condition for only $700. I hired a contractor to install for $500 and it works great and my wife with MS is very happy with it. The Premier product line is very high quality and we like the price we paid. I would never pay $15K unless it was gold plated!

  21. I bought a Premier Care tub around 2011 or so. It was pricey..salesman was very good at the sale .I was hurting so bad I didnt compare with another company.
It was $14,000.... however I love my tub. The install was very professional. Had to cut door to enlarge add new door. Looked good afterward..I've had no problems whatsoever. Hope it lasts at least another seven yrs. Been worth every penny I spent for my better health!!

  22. Premier home care is price gaging seniors period. I am an importer and have brought in many if these tubs. My cost. 600$ usd from the factory. They are selling them for close to 18k. The government was clamping down on mask sellers that were making 50c a mask for price gaging. That was when they said we didn't need to wear a mask and removed masks from Amazon, kijiji and every online retailer. Point being do not buy from them. I would gladly help anyone buy a walk in tub right from the factory. You can arrange your own plumber. Their pressured sales pitch about if your significant other living on average 2 years after they break their hip in shower is a tactic called selling fear. They won't even let you keep a copy of the quote. They don't want you to publish the price gouging. Special place in hell for this company.

  23. Since you are out of business, how are you supposed to get someone to work on your issues, none of the plumbers we have called will work on it?? No hot water coming to it, no heater and no bubbles???

    ReplyDelete
  24. I will never recommend a walk in tub not just from you all but all of them when we got it my mom was able to get in it and now she can't plus if you take a bath you have to sit there naked and when your done you have to sit in your dirty water
